Holiday Service Times
Christmas Eve Service Times
We will have three identical services on Christmas Eve, 10:00 am, 5:30 pm, and 7:30 pm. We will not be holding Sunday School or ABFs on this Sunday however, childcare for infants and young toddlers will be provided at 5:30 pm. Please join us at the service which best fits your schedule. New Year's Eve Service Times - December 31
On New Year's Eve, we will have two one-hour services at 9:00 and 10:35 am. The nursery will be available for infants and toddlers during the 9:00 service, however we will not be holding Sunday School or ABFs on this Sunday.

Gifts to either the General Fund or to the Building Fund (for debt reduction) will help ensure that resources will be available to support the important ministries of this church body. Christianity Explored - Begins January 4 at the YMCA
Christianity Explored
Thursdays beginning January 4, 6:30-8:00 pm at the YMCA

Christianity Explored is an informal, relaxed, eight-week course anyone who wants to think about the meaning of life. It is run by ordinary Christian people and is completely free. You don’t need to know anything about the Bible, and you won’t be asked to pray or sing. You can ask any question you like, or you can sit and listen. Whoever you are, whatever you’re thinking, CE is a place for you to explore what life’s all about. Free childcare is available with advanced registration for children 6 weeks through 8 years old. Upcoming Mission Projects for 2018
2018 Short-term Mission Project: Word of Life Hungary
We plan to send people to serve at Word of Life evangelistic summer camps during 2018. Six to eight people are needed to teach English lessons or coach basketball or volleyball. Deadline to apply is January 14. Find project information and the application here.
 
 
Perspectives
Perspectives
Sundays, 4:00-7:00 pm, January 7 - April 29

Perspectives on the World Christian Movement is a Christian education course designed to help believers learn more about God’s heart for all nations and how they can play an active role in the Great Commission. Perspectives has had a significant impact on the lives of many people from The Chapel. This session will be held at Woodland Shores Baptist Church (Bridgman). Learn more about Perspectives. Beginning the first week of January

Roundtable Groups are small groups designed to help men build the relationships that are key to spiritual growth. They meet weekly and discuss content that is particularly relevant to men. This session we'll focus on 33 The Series Volume 2: A Man and His Story. Every man must understand and come to grips with the defining moments and key relationships that have shaped his unique “story.” A Man and His Story will help men learn from their past, come alive in their present and enjoy God’s best in the future. Celebrate Christ’s birth as we exchange white elephant gifts and enjoy live music, performed by the group Lake Effect Winds, a woodwind quintet, as they perform a special Christmas program entitled, “A Christmas Delight.” Sign up at the kiosk in the foyer to indicate what you can bring to the potluck.

What Kids Are Learning This Week

Kids will study Luke 2 to see how Jesus was born to be God's promised Savior who was born to rescue us from sin and to allow us to draw close to God.

Sundays, 12:00-1:00 pm and Mondays and/or Thursdays, 9:00 am - 2:30 pm

All Chapel families are welcome to come and to invite their friends to our open play groups. Grab a cup of coffee, a snack, and your kids and meet in Park Place. Enjoy adult conversation and fellowship in a safe, clean environment while your kids make new friends and learn through free play. Children must be supervised by parents/guardian with a limit of 20 children on the play structure at one time and children must wear socks. Looking forward to all the fun!
 
 
Awana Registration Open House - September 27

If you have an elementary school-aged kid, Awana is the place for them on Wednesday nights at The Chapel! Awana nights are filled with Game Time, Small Group Time, and Large Group Time. During each of these activities, kids have the opportunity to learn more about God, His Son and His Word, establish positive role models and build lasting friendships in a safe and fun environment.
