Sunday Morning Classes

Our Sunday morning schedule consists of two worship services with concurrent children's classes. We provide classes for infants through 5th grade during both hours. Lessons are taught beginning at age one. A different lesson is taught each hour to children in kindergarten-5th grade to allow younger children to remain in classes during both hours without repeating the material.

Once your child is in 3rd grade, we encourage you to worship together as a family. You have the option of attending an Adult Bible Fellowship (ABF) class while your child attends Sunday School then worshiping together, or you can worship first then attend your classes second hour. We provide options so you have the flexibility to make the best decision that fits your family.

Elementary kids (k-5th grade) are combined June, July, and August for our summer program called Big House. In Big House, all children are taught the lesson at the same time before breaking into groups. Each group then moves through different activity centers that reinforce the lesson. This provides a fun change of pace while allowing our elementary teachers to take the summer off for refreshment.

All of our classes are led by at least two screened adults. Our early childhood classes also have teen helper, and we have a secure check-in and check-out system in place. You can feel comfortable attending one of our ABF classes while your child attends Sunday School.

Please note that if you have children in elementary school AND in grades 6-12, the middle school and high school classes meet ONLY during the 9:00 am hour. The middle school classes ("Illuminate" grades 6-8) meet in Room 132/135 and the high school class ("Fusion" grades 9-12) meets in the Student Ministries Room (137).

CURRICULUM
We use a different curriculum depending on grade level and hour.

Explore the Bible: Kids published by LifeWay

Explore the Bible: Kids studies the Bible book by book as it links the New and Old Testaments together. It uses object-based learning to help kids dig deep! Students check out how the ark stacks up to other famous ships. They also can experience the gigantic size of Goliath compared to…their own dad. Kids explore the people, places, and objects of the Bible in historical context and compare them to modern–day life. With Explore the Bible, kids aren't just learning the Bible; they're experiencing it!
